Discos desmaquilhantes reutilizáveis /Reusable makeup remover pads

Já andava com esta ideia na cabeça há muito tempo mas ainda não tinha procurado opções para substituir os meus discos desmaquilhantes, fiz as contas e gasto cerca de 2 por dia (um de manhã e outro à noite) ou mais se usar máscara de pestanas, então aí nem se fala devem ser uns 5 ou 6 discos de uma só vez.
Estava a ver que o lixo que produzia todos os dias e achei que podia fazer melhor ao fim de um mês, nem se fala... é muito lixo!
Ainda ponderei fazer os meus em casa, mas não tenho a máquina de corte e cose para ficarem com um acabamento mais duradouro e decidi comprar.
Mandei vir pelo aliexpress e 24 discos foram cerca de 3€, são em algodão e são bastante grandes!
Até agora estou a gostar e ainda não tive necessidade de usar dos outros, mas ainda não os usei para remover máscara de pestanas, nesse caso não sei se tenho que os pôr de molho antes de lavar...
Em relação a lavagem, coloco dentro de um saco de rede e vai à máquina com a roupa branca.

I had had this idea in my head for a long time but I still had not looked for options to replace my cleansing discs, I did the math and spent about 2 a day (one morning and another at night) or more if I wore a mascara, so there's no need to talk about 5 or 6 discs at once.
I was seeing the trash I produce every day and I thought I could do better, all together after a month, it's much trash!
I was seeing that the garbage I was producing every day and was enormous, and at the end of a month, i do not even talk about that.
I will still consider doing mine at home, but I do not have a serger machine for a longer lasting finish and decided to buy.
I bougth mine in aliexpress and 24 discs were about 3 €, are in cotton and they are big !! And so far I have been satisfied and I have not yet had to use desposable one's, I have not yet used to remove mascara, in this case I do not know if I have to soak them before washing...
About the wash, i put them in a meshbag and goes to the machine with the white clothes.

Os discos de cima são novos, os de baixo são já  foram usados e lavados 5/6 vezes

Reflorestação de área ardida em Vouzela/Reforestation in Vouzela burned area

No fim de semana passado eu e o meu marido fomos plantar árvores, foi uma iniciativa de voluntariado da empresa em que eu trabalho e decidimos aproveitar, já não planto árvores desde o tempo da escola e era uma coisa que queria fazer há algum tempo.
A zona de Vouzela, foi uma das (infelizmente) muitas zonas devastadas pelos incêndios de 2017 e é difícil ver toda a devastação de ficou para trás.
Mas também é entusiasmante ver a natureza a regenerar.
O tempo estava fresquinho (6 graus!!) e estava a chover a potes, mas nada que um impermeável não trate!
Éramos um grupo grande (cerca de 70 pessoas) plantámos cerca de 304 árvores de sobreiros, castanheiros e carvalhos-alvarinhos.
As fotos não foram muitas pois estava muita chuva e lama com fartura.
A viagem foram 3,5 horas para cada lado, mas valeu a pena!
No final acabamos com um almocinho foi uma massada à lavrador que estava a ferver e soube mesmo bem, pois estávamos gelados.
Espero voltar a plantar árvores num futuro breve!

Last weekend my husband and I went planting trees, it was a volunteer initiative of the company where I work and we decided to go, I did not plant trees since school time and it was something I wanted to for some time.
The Vouzela area was one of the (unfortunately) many zones devastated by the fires of 2017 and it is hard to see all the devastation left behind.
But it is also exciting to see nature regenerate.
The weather was cool (42,8 degrees !!) and it was raining pots, but nothing that a raincoat did not handle!
We were a large group (about 70 people) planted about 304 cork oak trees, chestnut trees and oak trees.
The photos were not many because there was much rain and mud with plenty.
The trip was 3.5 hours to each side, but it was worth it!
In the end we ended up with a lunch was a hote plate of pasta farmer's way who was boiling and tasted very good as we were very (very!)cold.
I hope to re-plant trees in the near future!

Lembranças de Natal /Christmas Gifts 2018

Gosto de oferecer uma pequena lembrança às pessoas que estiveram mais perto de mim durante o ano e também que essa oferta seja feita por mim.
Este ano fiz as tradicionais bolachas de chocolate a receita é deste livro (eu adiciono pepitas de chocolate para uma decadência extra), mas para a embalagem, utilizei uma caixa usada para colocar pipocas em que fiz uns furos e coloquei a fita que além de fechar a caixa, também segura a etiqueta.


I like to offer a little gift to the people who were closest to me during the year and also try that that gift is handmade.
This year I made the traditional chocolate cookies the recipe is from this book i add chocolate chips for extra decadence , but for the packaging, I used a box used to put popcorn into which I punched holes and put the ribbon that besides closing the box, also holds the label.

Grinalda de Natal /Christmas Garland

Pela primeira vez tenho uma grinalda à porta, inspirada na cor vermelho (a minha cor favorita no natal) e também no natural, resolvi fazer esta grinalda muito simples.
As grinaldas  que via à venda ou eram muito giras, mas caras, ou eram baratas mas feias !! Nota: gostos não se discutem ;)

Este projecto no total ficou em cerca que 15€

Comprei esta grinalda que trazia pinhas e alguma verdura, havia uma pinha que estava em falta, mas até deu jeito e foi onde coloquei o laço feito com fita vermelha (fita que já tinha de projetos anteriores)

For the first time I have a wreath at the door, inspired by the color red (my favorite color at Christmas) and also in the natural, I decided to make this wreath very simple.

The wreaths I saw for sale were either very touring, but expensive, or cheap but ugly !! Note: i donot argue tastes ;)
This project in total was about 15€ 
I bought this wreath that had pine cones and some greenery, there was a pinea cone that was missing, but it still worked and it was where I put the bow made with red ribbon (ribbon that had already from previous projects)

Coloquei as bolas vermelhas maiores, (optei por não adicionar os cachos, vou usar noutro projecto)

I put the largest red balls (I chose not to add the bunch red balls, I'll use another project)

DIY Meia de Natal / Christmas stockings

Estou um pouco atrasada com os posts de natal, tenho ido muito trabalho e chego bastante tarde a casa, o que impossibilita de tirar fotos com luz natural.

Estas botas/meia que já fiz no ano passado, mas que uso sempre que a decoração é em tons de vermelho e branco.
Utilizei tecidos do ikea e foram feitas num instante.

Encontrei este molde gratuito e imprimi em A3, medi os tecidos para ver se tinha o suficiente para as 2 meias que queria fazer e adicionei a dobra de tecido com a cor a contrastar para não ficar tudo liso.

Normalmente coloco no meu aparador que decoro com outros acessórios natalícios, mas também pode ser pendurado numa porta, ou numa lareira.

I'm a bit late with the Christmas posts, I've been working a lot and I'm home late, which makes it impossible to take photos with natural light.
I made christmas socks that I made last year, but I always use the decoration in red and white.
I used ikea fabrics and they were made in no time.
I found this free template and printed on A3, measured the fabrics to see if I had enough for the 2 socks I wanted to make and added the fabric fold with the contrasting color.
I usually put it on my sideboard that I decorate with other Christmas accessories, but it can also be hung on a door, or in a fireplace.

Bolo Charlie e os números/ Charlie and the numbers cake

Mais um bolinho que me deu pano para mangas, este bolo foi para o primeiro aniversario do filho de uma amiga que queria o tema de Charlie e os números.
Procurei na Internet, mas este desenho animado não é muito conhecido em Portugal (pelo menos que eu saiba), o merchandising é inexistente e não se encontra muita coisa sobre ele, mas ainda encontrei algumas ideias para bolos e este foi inspirado num dos que encontrei na internet.
Ainda bem que existe o youtube e pelo menos conseguir ver uns episódios para perceber um pouco mais sobre esta personagem.

Another cake that gave me lot's of work, this cake was for the first anniversary of the son of a friend who wanted the theme of Charlie and the numbers.
I searched the Internet, but this cartoon is not very well known in Portugal (as far as I know), the merchandising is non existent and not much is found about it, but I still found some ideas for cakes and this was inspired by one I found on the Internet.
Thankfully there is YouTube and at least get to see episodes to understand a little more about this character.


É um bolo com muita cor (por dentro e por fora) o bolo e o recheio é o mesmo deste (a pedido da mãe).
It is a cake with lot's of color (inside and out) the cake and the filling is the same as the baby shower cake (request of the mother).


O bolo de baixo é red velvet e o de cima é bolo de iogurte com recheio de curd de limão.
The bottom cake is red velvet and top cake is yogurt cake with lemon curd filling.


Os bonecos mandei fazer na Marie Gateaux, porque eu não sei fazer modelagem, mas ficaram como os tinha idealizado. (aqui ainda estão dentro das caixas).
The charlie and numebr one I had to buy them at Marie Gateaux, because I do not know how to do modeling, but they remained as I had idealized them. (here they are still inside the boxes).

O material (pasta de açucar, base para o bolo), comprei na loja isto faz-se , e os ingredientes para o bolo comprei num supermercado normal.

Foram necessárias algumas horas para fazer as bolas e as nuvens que colei no bolo com cmc, as letras imprimi e cortei em papel e posteriormente passei para a massa, cortei com uma faca e usei as estecas para formar arredondar um pouco as letras.

Sobre o arco iris, ficou um desastre porque ficaram desiguais, eu não tenho um extrusor para ficarem todos bonitinhos e iguais (note to self: comprar um extrusor/estrusora?)

The material (sugar paste, base for the cake), I bought in the store Isto faz-se, and the ingredients for the cake I bought in a normal supermarket.
It took a few hours to make the balls and the clouds that I glue on the cake with cmc, the letters printed and cut into paper and later I passed to the sugar paste, cut with a knife and I used cake utencils to form a little round the letters.
About the rainbow, it was a disaster because they were uneven, I do not have an extruder to be all cute and equal (note to self: buy an extruder )

No decorrer do processo, já não consegui tirar muitas fotos, pois estava muito atrasada para a entrega, mas lá conseguimos fazer tudo a tempo.

During the process, I could not take many photos, because i was very late for the delivery, but there we were able to do everything in time.

Mais de 60 bolas depois e muitos testes, lá decidimos o tamanho das bolas a colocar.

Over 60 sugar balls later and many tests, there we decided the size of the balls to put.
