Button Pouch / Bolsa com Botões

Fiz estas bolsas para oferta no Natal de 2015 ou 2016, tinha bastantes restos de tecidos que me sobraram da minha colcha de patchwork, e decidi não desperdiçar esse tecido.
Andei à procura na net de um molde grátis e encontrei este https://www.pattydoo.de/schnittmuster/kosmetiktasche-susie podem descarregar o molde. As instruções também estão no site.

Como fiz três bolsas, aproveitei e cortei logo o todos os pedaços que iria precisar, acrescentei os botões para ficar um pouco diferente. 

Os botões, escolhi deste monte que comprei numa loja que infelizmente ia fechar e estava a vender tudo a um preço mais baixo.

I made these bags for Christmas 2015 or 2016, I had enough leftovers left over from my patchwork quilt, and I decided not to waste that fabric.
I searched the net for a free template and found this https://www.pattydoo.de/schnittmuster/kosmetiktasche-susie you can download the template. The instructions are also on the site.

Because I made three bags, I took advantage of it and cut off all the pieces i would need, I added the buttons to give a little color and to be a little different.

The buttons, I chose from this mount that I bought in a store that unfortunately was closing and was selling everything at a lower price.

Gold animal silhouettes / Silhuetas de animais douradas

Mais um projecto em dourado, para o babyshower. Silhuetas de animais para decoração.
Fui à internet e pesquisei por animais da selva, coloquei numa folha em branco as quantidades e tamanho que preciso.

Escolhi vários animais, leões, elefantes, girafas, etc

Agora a parte chata... cortar estes bichinhos todos uma a um, vou fazendo aos poucos.

comprei uns espetos de madeira (tipo espetadas) e colei cada animal com cola quente.

Dei duas camadas de spray dourado, e deixei secar bem.

Resultado final...

Adoro as diferentes tonalidades que vai tendo conforme a incidência da luz

Estes vão decorar uns cupcakes :)

Another project in gold, for the babyshower.

I went to the internet and I researched jungle animals, I put in a blank sheet the amounts and size that I need.

I chose various animals, lions, elephants, giraffes, etc.

Now the boring part ... cut these little creatures all one by one, I'm doing it slowly.

I bought some wooden skewers  and glued each animal with hot glue.

I gave two layers of golden spray, and let it dry well.

I love the different tonalities that are with the incidence of light

These will decorate cupcakes :)

Cookie Cutters snowflake / Cortador de bolachas floco de Neve

Mais uns cortadores adquiridos a pensar no Natal, comprei estes cortadores lindos, para fazer bolachas em forma de floco de neve que a mim só me faz lembrar o Natal, já estou a pensar o que vou fazer este ano para oferecer às pessoas mais próximas, ainda não me decidi e ainda estou à procura da receita de bolachas que não tenha um sabor muito forte a manteiga (atenção, que eu adoro manteiga!!) mas não quero que sejam muito enjoativas.

É um conjunto de oito cortadores e tem vários tamanhos.

Another cookie cutters i bought for Christmas, I bought these beautiful cutters, to make snowflake cookies that only reminds me of Christmas, I'm already thinking about what I'm going to do this year to offer to the people who are closest, I have not decided yet and I'm still looking for the cookie recipe that does not have a very strong butter flavor (attention, I love butter !!) but I do not want them to be too stongflavored.

It is a set of eigth cookie cutters and it has various sizes.

My Sweet Singer / A minha querida Singer

Tenho um amor que me acompanha há muitos anos, foi-me oferecida por uma querida amiga há cerca de 17/18 anos.
É uma máquina de costura Singer Starlet 354, é uma máquina que foi produzida na década de 70 e posso dizer uma coisa, ainda está para as curvas!!

Tenho cuidado desta máquina como se de uma relíquia se tratasse, o estado dela é irrepreensível só avariou 2 vezes, uma porque queimou o pedal e outra porque uma peça estava desgastada. 
Esta máquina têm-me acompanhado nas minhas costuras desde adolescente e tenho feito bastante coisas com ela desde camisolas a meias de Natal, malas etc. espero conseguir mostrar aqui neste espaço projectos que eu já fiz anteriormente e outros que espero fazer no futuro.

I have a love that has been with me for many years, it was offered by a dear friend about 17/18 years ago.
It's my sewing machine a Singer starlet 354, it's a machine that was produced in the 70's and I can say one thing, after all these years it work's a lot !!

I have taken care of this sewing machine as if is a relic she is irreprehensible only broke 2 times, one because it burned the pedal and another time because a piece was wornout.

This machine have been with me since I was a teenager and I have done a lot of things with it from sweaters to Christmas stockings, etc. I hope to be able to show here in this space projects that I have done previously and others that I hope to do in the future.

Cookie Cutters / Cortadores de Bolachas

Olá a todos,

Chegaram ontem os meus cortadores de bolachas, encomendei pelo ebay e só demoraram 3 semanas a chegar!! (normalmente, pela minha experiência demoram mais tempo).
É um pack de 5 cortadores alusivos ao Natal, tem uma estrela, uma rena, um boneco de neve, uma árvore com estrela e um gingerbread man, são tão fofos estou desejosa de os experimentar com umas bolachinhas, só falta encontrar a receita perfeita.

Yesterday my cookie cutters arrived, I ordered on ebay and it only took 3 weeks to arrive !! (normally, due to my experience, they take longer).

It is a pack of 5 cutters allusive to Christmas, there is a star, a reindeer, a snowman, a chistmas tree with a star and a gingerbread man, they are so cute I am eager to try them, all that remains is to find the perfect recipe.

Bolo de Iogurte Decorado

Na continuação do babyshower com tema Selva/África, ando a fazer testes de sabor de bolos, não costumo trabalhar com pastas de açúcar e a ultima vez que o fiz, foi à cerca de 6 anos para a despedida de solteira de uma amiga.
Comprei umas massas na Isto Faz-se https://www.istofaz-se.pt/ e comecei a experimentar.
O bolo é de iogurte com recheio de Lemon Curd (depois deixo a receita).
A pasta ficou com muitas imperfeições, mas é para isso mesmo que servem os testes.
Já sei que tenho que colocar uma base que aguente a massa sem ficar com ondas (buttercream ou outra coisa) para este teste fiz uma ganache de chocolate branco receita daqui http://www.crumbsanddoilies.co.uk/.

Bolo visto de cima

Já acertei o tom, o bolo vai ser mais neutro, pois vai haver muitos dourados na festa!! e também porque vai levar umas girafas douradas no topo.

O bolo vai ser de duas camadas, a camada de baixo com o tom mais escuro e a camada de cima com o tom mais claro.

Neste caso usei uns cortadores em forma de estrela só para ver se gostava do contraste.

Estas são as girafas que vou usar para o topo do bolo, ainda falta pintar de dourado, mas assim já consegui perceber onde quero que fiquem.

Os provadores disseram que o bolo estava aprovado!

In the continuation of the Babyshower with the theme of Jungle / Africa, I'm making cakes taste tests, I do not usually work with sugar pastes, and the last time I did it, it was about six years ago for a friend's bachelorette party.

I bought some pasta at the store and I started to experiment.

The cake is yogurt with Lemon Curd filling (I leave the recipe later).

The sugar paste has many imperfections, but that's what the tests are for.

I already know I have to put a base that holds the sugar paste without getting waves (buttercream or something else) for this test I made a white chocolate ganache recipe from here http://www.crumbsanddoilies.co.uk/.

I have already set the tone, the cake will be more neutral, because there will be many gold stuff in the party !! And also because it will carry some golden giraffes at the top.

The cake will be two layers, the bottom layer with the darkest tone and the top layer with the lightest shade.

In this case I used star cutters just to see if I liked the contrast.

These are the giraffes I'm going to use for the top of the cake, but I still have to paint them in gold, but I can already see where I want them to go in the cake.

The tasters said the cake was approved!

DIY - Pintar Frascos de Vidro

Tenho uma amiga que está grávida e vamos fazer um babyshower, o Tema é a Selva/ África e a cor escolhida pela mamã é o dourado.

Comecei logo a procurar no Pinterest https://www.pinterest.pt/ ideias e inspirações para criarmos um ambiente acolhedor e festivo.

Eu fiquei encarregue da decoração do espaço e do bolo principal, serão cerca de 30 pessoas (sim eu sei, é muita gente!!) e será ao ar livre (vamos ver se o tempo ajuda) em Setembro.

Vi umas ideias giras, mas depois o difícil é conjugar tudo de forma harmoniosa.

Para guardar os talheres optamos por uns frascos de vidro pintados em dourado.

Comecei por limpar os frascos de vidro com álcool para retirar gorduras e autocolantes. 

Depois foi forrar a cozinha com sacos de plástico para poder pintar com o spray.

Abri as janelas para haver ventilação da área e usei luvas 

Andei à procura de tintas em spray mas as que encontrava eram todas para metal, eu precisava de uma para vidro e encontrei no Leroy Merlin http://www.leroymerlin.pt/Site/Produtos/Pintura-e-drogaria/Pintura-de-interior/Sprays/17682616-(1).aspx

Foram necessárias 2 camadas para a pintura ficar homogénea.

Resultado Final....

Coloquei uma fita também dourada, mas vou trocar por uma castanha com brilho (se encontrar).

É engraçado ver que conforme a luz incide, o tom vai variando.

I have a friend who is pregnant and we are going to make a babyshower, the theme is the Jungle / Africa and the color chosen by the mother to be is the gold.

I started searching Pinterest https://www.pinterest.pt/ ideias and inspirations to create a warm and festive atmosphere.

I am in charge of the decoration of the space and the main cake, there will be about 30 people (yes I know, is a lot of people !!) and it will be outdoors (we'll see if weather helps) in September.

I saw some ideas, but then the difficult thing is to combine everything in a harmonious way.

To save the cutlery we chose glass jars painted in gold.

I started by cleaning the glass jars with alcohol to remove grease and stickers.

Then protected the kitchen with plastic bags to avoid gold spray all over the kitchen.

I opened the windows to have room ventilation and I wore gloves

I was looking for spray paints but the ones I found were all for metal, I needed one for glass and I found it on Leroy Merlin (hardware store)

It took two layers of paint to make the paint homogeneous.

Final result....

I put a ribbon that is also gold, but I'll trade for a shiny chestnut (if i found that color).

It's funny to see that as the light strikes, the tone of the paint changes.
